Moving

It's official! Jeff and I had made the decision to move back to Texas on his birthday. Upon hearing of his mother's declining health and after a month of debating, we have decided that we our presence is more needed with his family. We will be moving January 9th.

Jeff's 26th Birthday

Jeff had to work late on his birthday and he requested to not have a big fuss, so we just went to lunch at Bajio before his shift. During lunch, he opened mom and dad's present, which was the bluetooth he's wanted. He was so excited! I gave him mine later in the evening because it didn't come in the mail until that day. I gave him an engraved business card holder. It was a simple birthday, but that's what he wanted!

Christmas Wrap 2009

I look forward to this event ALL year! I'm like a kid in a candy store when I make that trip to buy my wrapping paper and accessories. I can't wait until the year comes where I can afford all the items I want for the wrapping. I captured my gifts last year and I had so much fun, I decided to do so again. Our Christmas tree colors are bronze, gold, deep purple and burgundy. Therefore, I bought the same colors in my paper. I have a few of the blue and bronze from last year I used on a few items though. It's more fun for me to wrap them and enjoy the pretty package than it is to actually have the item sometimes! I am such a dork.

Thanksgiving 2009

With Jeff and I working so much this Christmas Season, I decided to leave it up to Jeff as to what our Thanksgiving plans were to be. I gave him the choice of either going to Grandma's, going out to eat or staying home. He chose to stay home and veg all day because we both had to work until midnight the night before Thanksgiving and then we both had to work a 9 hour day the next day, which was brutal! I am so glad he chose to stay home because we crashed on Thanksgiving! I made a simple meal, he didn't want me to slave in the kitchen. He only requested that we have stuffing, mashed potatoes and NO turkey. I made the stuffing and mashed potatoes and created my own recipe of chicken and added peas to the mix. It was really yummy! It was the most relaxing Thanksgiving I've ever had! We stayed in our pj's all day, played games, watched football and Christmas movies. It was fabulous!
